Congress To Act On Health Care For Detainees

In response to a NY Times article (See posting for May 5th.) on the deaths of immigrants while in ICE custody, the chair of the House Immigration subcommittee, Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D, CA) announced moving along her legislative proposal that Homeland Security set unified health care standards for all detention centers and make public immediately any deaths.
